Had heard Benetton for Nagle. Parma is a lovely city, good lifestyle there.mildlyinterested wrote:Indo has nagle and kearney going to Zebre next season.

Re: Leinster's 2nd Row options
Leinster will definitely be without Devin Toner this weekend due to the knee injury he sustained on Saturday, and while the second row awaits further scan results, it’s understood the damage is not severe enough to compromise his World Cup ambitions.
Toner is expected to be sidelined for a period of four to six weeks, and in his absence, Scott Fardy is set to partner James Ryan in the Leinster second row in Glasgow.

I wonder could Baird be a 6. In the mode of Fardy.mildlyinterested wrote:Options next season during WC

Dont see it as an option myself, nor do I see leinster trying to develop him there. I think he is athletic for a lock, but not athletic enough to play 6.

Is Ross Molony standing on a box?
I'd say he just has his boots on and the others don't.

It worked for Mick O'Driscoll.johng wrote:Is Ross Molony standing on a box?

To be fair to Molony he's a fair bit bigger than MOD.
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who's the greatest player of them all? It is Drico your majesty.

Re: Leinster's 2nd Row options
Interesting that Leinter are really backing their young 2nd rows next season with Nagle/Kearney off to Italy, Jack Dunne looked very impressive at the end of the season and Ryan Baird making his debut at 19 was also notable.
Not sure what kind of future Oisin Dowling has at leinster at 2nd row.
Fardy is likely off after next season and Toner is getting older and more injury prone so Molony etc. will need to step up soon

Re: Leinster's 2nd Row options
Ryan Baird was excellent yesterday for the 20's, had 6 carries in the first 18 minutes, not sure what he finished with but it could have been in the high teens.
Charlie Ryan was also very good, a real nuts and bolts type of lock, isn't as flashy as Baird but gets through a lot of work.

Re: Leinster's 2nd Row options
Kearney and Nagle have both done a decent job over the last few seasons but there have been times where we're looked a bit lacking in that area and I'm very excited to see how Dunne and Baird get on next season.mildlyinterested wrote:Interesting that Leinter are really backing their young 2nd rows next season with Nagle/Kearney off to Italy, Jack Dunne looked very impressive at the end of the season and Ryan Baird making his debut at 19 was also notable.

Re: Leinster's 2nd Row options
Sounds like Jack Dunne will be alright for the new season anyway.

Re: Leinster's 2nd Row options
Baird got himself red carded for a high tackle in the Junior World Cup. Didn’t actually see the challenge so not sure how bad it was.
Ireland were winning up until the 60th minute despite the card but then conceded 21 points in 4 minutes

By the refs interpretation of events and the following the new flowchart using those interpretations it was a red but I wouldn't be surprised to see it overturnedSerb wrote:Baird got himself red carded for a high tackle in the Junior World Cup.
