Roll up for the Mystery Tour...
Thanks folks, you are all very welcome.apple sourz wrote:All hail HARP!
Well done to Flash, Fungal and Colin for arranging a great day out.

Roll on the 27th
Ther were times when i thought the day was brilliant (lashing out pints in the brewmasters club, D'arcy's drop goal) and others when I thought it was all going horribly wrong (Jimmy "Which way is the M50?" Finnigan, realising that I had left Apple's jacket on the mystery bus).
The best thing about the day for me was that we managed to increase the away support for the team. As I said to MC "We gave them a 6 all THRASHING!!!".
I'm sure that we will all learn lessons from the things that went wrong and if/when we do something like this again then we will make it even better for everybody.
A speacial word of thanks to all on The Myster Bus (Bus 2) for putting up with the various periods of being lost with little or no complaints. The nicest way I can put it is to say that our driver was "directionaly challeneged". Still I can always say that there is very little of East Belfast, Newery or the M50 that I don't know, now.
Can I ask that anybody with photos from the trip post them here, I forgot my camera (as well as my map).

Don't think we can say thank you enough to all concerned for organising yesterday.
Dispite weather it was another unforgettable experience on tour with Leinster not least due to the friendliness of the Ulster fans.
Looking forward to catching up with them on NYE.
Thanks again everyone.
Until next Saturday when we do it all again for "Les Bleu"

No worries lads, it was a total pleasure! Great to see all the Leinster fans on the Harp - it is available in Kielys and will be on tap in Dolans in Limerick. So its up to you really whether you want to drink a Leinster beer brewed by Leinster rugby fans (Fungal boy and Colin) or if you want to drink Turnip juice from Munster (Heineken)
Great trip - Thanks (I think....) to Rexy and Mullet for the music and to JRC for working his way through EVERY single song on the planet on the bus.....
Pity we didn't win the match, we definitely should have....
Bring on Turnipstan!

Surely it makes more sense to say, "Gerry Gerry, give us wave. Gerry give us a wave". No?Slipper1 wrote:We dont buy the indo, we dont buy the indo, na na na na na hey, na na na na hey...repeat as required

Re: Roll up for the Mystery Tour...
A big thanks to Flash for making this happen in the first place and to ckav for booking the buses and an especially big shout out to Fungalboy for being the best teacher I never had! Nazi-like in the extreme his insistence on leaving on time, reckless in the extreme in seeking out directions from riot polilce marshalling a bunch of men with lambeg drums (lost or just very slow?), patient in the extreme in his dealing with our directionally challenged bus-driver, naff in the extreme in his jokes (my eyes may have been closed but that was to hide the pain - I wasn't actually asleep) and gentlemanly in the extreme in finding an actual WC for the three ladies on the bus to use when the 30+ men were happy to use the hard shoulder ... every 30 minutes. It should have been us buying the Roses. Contender for highlight of the trip? Sending TrueBlue and harryp out into the gale force winds with the sentiment, if not the words, that you've a better chance finding your car on your own than with this guy driving you.fungalboy wrote:Thanks folks, you are all very welcome.apple sourz wrote:All hail HARP!

OK People - no need to rub it in, perhaps the icicles froze the brain a little too much.harryp wrote:It was actually "Gerry Gerry give us a wave" followed by "We all buy the indo, we all buy the indo" nanana nanana.
Some of the looks we were getting "Singing in the Rain" were absolutely priceless.

I'm with you Slipper, or at least was - I was definitely singing "we don't buy the Indo, we don't buy the Indo" - I thought someone said that David Kelly was there and we were singing it for his "benefit"?Slipper1 wrote:On my own again, I was having so much fun on my on again.....apple sourz wrote:It was actually 'We'll all buy the indo' becasue Gerry wouldn't give us a wave!!Slipper1 wrote:We dont buy the indo, we dont buy the indo, na na na na na hey, na na na na hey...repeat as required

Thank You - whatever about the Gerry chant, I was definitely telling David Kelly that he was a "losser" and that I never bought his rag.Tara wrote:I'm with you Slipper, or at least was - I was definitely singing "we don't buy the Indo, we don't buy the Indo" - I thought someone said that David Kelly was there and we were singing it for his "benefit"?Slipper1 wrote:On my own again, I was having so much fun on my on again.....apple sourz wrote: It was actually 'We'll all buy the indo' becasue Gerry wouldn't give us a wave!!

I'd just like to add my thanks to the guys and gals for organising this one. It wouldn't be a trip to Ravenhill if the bus didn't get lost at least once.

I thought it was a great trip. Yeah, sure we should've won, but the draw under those circumstances was pretty damn good. The free Harp & food, and the getting lost all made for a great trip. Damn, that was some wind, though, at the end of the game.
A sincere thanks to the Harp boys for organising this.
